Artist Makenna Marossy Morales is the wife of Johnny B. Morales; owner of I AM REVEALED. Her mixed media and shared passion for identity led to this organic effort.

"When I was creating the original piece that inspired this collaboration, I was experimenting with side profile portraits to learn how to capture the personality and facial features of individuals, which fits perfectly in with the message of the brand – discover who you are. Johnny (my husband and brand owner) glanced over at what I was creating and immediately reacted with, “I want to wear that.”
The process of creation for this collaboration included a variety of mixed media. I started by painting the outline of the subject with black ink, and then shaded and colored the main features using pastel crayons in different shades of black, gray, and white. The faces of the man and woman slowly emerged as I moved on to the hair of each individual.
The man’s hair is an abstract expression of the daytime sky and clouds, while the hair of the woman juxtaposes the man’s as a dusk orange sunset. Each piece’s background was then painted the same beige color. In the beginning, night and day were made for each other, just as man and woman were. They are reflections of each other, belonging together as a pair, but still able to be experienced and worn, as art pieces on clothing, separately."
